    Assistant Editor

    Summary

    ArtClass is looking for an experienced Freelance Assistant Video Editor to join our post team. You’ll support our editors in cutting commercials, social content, long form docs, music videos, and more for some of the world’s largest brands and most recognizable talent.

    You’ll need to be on the top of your creative game, but success in this position will also require technical chops, exceptional organization, enthusiastic collaboration, openness to feedback, problem-solving skills, and the ability to deliver under extreme deadlines in a fast-paced environment. A positive attitude and willingness to work as part of a team to deliver world-class content is a must.

    Roles & Responsibilities

    Collaborate and partner closely with the editors from conceptualization through to final master delivery.
    Collaborate with agency partners as well as internal creative directors, directors, and CG artists.
    Gather and transfer all forms of media into editing software and ensure each output is updated in the correct format.
    Edit video to include preselected music, interviews, sound clips, integrate text animation/overlays, and other important aspects of the project.
    Ensure the correct formatting and presentation for finalized videos.
    Stay up to date with industry developments and trends.

    Requirements

    1+ years working experience in film or commercial video editing.
    Professional mastery of Adobe Premiere / Adobe Creative Suite, setting up the project to editor’s specs, handling media, pulling selects, exports, codecs, mix prep, color prep, conform prep, VFX prep, syncing footage, working with multiple source formats, cleaning up timelines. Ability to multitask and work toward several milestones on various projects simultaneously.

    Proficient in creating concept boards and other visual representations of planned edits for video projects.

    Full understanding of the post production pipeline: offline, online & conform, general VFX, audio mixing. Also including devices, frame rates, aspect ratio, compression schemes, file formats and cameras

    Excellent presentation, oral, and written communication skills
    Flexible and able to work as needed, including the occasional weekend, to meet peak demands in a fast-paced environment.

    The current position is Freelance and does not require you to be in the office.
