Oren is an LA-based commercial and narrative filmmaker, VFX artist, and podcast host known for his dynamic and award-winning work. His commercial projects have earned significant accolades, including two Telly Awards and an IAC Award for his work with Quiznos, and his spots have appeared on Ad Week’s Top 10 list. He has also directed commercials for major brands such as Amazon, Ford, Microsoft, Mattel, Pepsi, Pinterest, PayPal, Bush’s Beans, and Popeyes.
In the realm of episodic television, Oren has directed several episodes of the sci-fi comedy “Miss 2059,” which garnered three Streamy Award nominations. His debut feature film, “The Hammer,” tells the inspiring story of UFC fighter Matt Hamill and features a cast of primarily deaf actors. The film premiered at the AFI Film Festival, where it won the Breakthrough Film Award and several audience awards before its theatrical release and subsequent streaming on Netflix.
Oren also works as a Visual Effects Artist on acclaimed films, including Oscar winners “Nomadland,” “C’mon C’mon,” and “20th Century Women.” In addition to his filmmaking and VFX work, he is passionate about discussing the craft and business of directing, having hosted over 400 episodes of "Just Shoot It," a podcast dedicated to the art and industry of filmmaking.
