DANA TRIPPE

Dana Trippe is a self-taught mixed media photographer and director based in California. Heavily influenced by the '70s, science fiction, and surrealism, Dana seamlessly transitions between roles on set—photographer, video director, set designer, graphic designer, and creative director. Her dynamic vision has driven many shoots for world-famous musicians like Demi Lovato, Tame Impala, Haim, Willow Smith, John Legend, and Ke$ha. This deep involvement in the creative process, from inception to post-production, naturally led her to commercial filmmaking.

Dana has directed fashion films for SP22 Skate, Vans, and Chrome Hearts, infusing them with her gritty, surreal, and retrofuturistic sensibilities to create vibrant characters and rich environments. She has also collaborated with brands and publications such as Paper Magazine, Entertainment Weekly, Savage X Fenty, Vivienne Westwood, and Billabong, bringing their artistic visions to life.

Dana’s photography spans 35mm film and digital formats, using a variety of techniques with props and post-editing to craft colorful, nostalgic worlds for viewers. Her work captures the essence of an era while pushing creative boundaries, creating a distinctive visual experience.
