ANTHONY RUBINSTEIN

Anthony is a London-based director and VFX artist who thrives where art meets technology. With an Engineering degree from the University of Cambridge and early experience at Red Bull Media House, he discovered his calling behind the camera—crafting worlds where precision meets imagination.

His zero-budget pandemic short earned a Young Director Award at Cannes (2021) and a place in the BFI National Archives. Since then, he’s been shortlisted for Best New Director at Kinsale Sharks (2023) and won Gold at the 1.4 Awards (2025) for Crying—a poetic exploration of vulnerability that became a global campaign for Movember.

Driven by invention, Anthony builds intricate transitions, designs creative contraptions, and blurs the line between digital and physical craft. Whether orchestrating visual illusions or revealing the mechanics behind them, his filmmaking is rooted in curiosity—pushing boundaries, breaking rules, and finding beauty in the process.
