We are Bonnie Dennison and Alison Barton, a writing duo born and based in New York City. (Well, Alison is originally from New Jersey, please don’t hold it against her). We’ve directed multiple national ad campaigns, and writing has been featured on Now With, Eko, Twitter, Bustle, Syfy, Netflix, MTV, Funny Or Die, CollegeHumor, Refinery29, and our moms’ computers.
Our pilot “Granted” won Best Comedy Script at New York Television Festival and we’ve attached Seth Green’s Stoopid Buddy Stoodios and Just For Laughs as producers. National Lampoon has signed on to produce our feature film “What Would Dakota Do?” Our short film “Brown Bagger” was a finalist for the ScreenCraft Film Fund, and has since been awarded a post-production grant from the NYC Women’s Fund and the Mayor’s Office of Media & Entertainment. We also launched, and were head writers for Elite Daily’s super-successful Snapchat Discover channel.
Outside of writing, we are both actresses. Bonnie has been acting since she was a kid, but some highlights include Third Watch, Tina Fey’s Cabot College and Bombshell (yes she met Charlize, she’s got a great vibe). Alison had a normal healthy childhood, and has had roles on Master of None, Difficult People, and Friends From College.
