Rachel Fleit is an award-winning director and writer with a focus on telling intimate and authentic stories through the lens of cinéma verité. Known for her thorough and respectful examination of her subjects, Rachel has quickly risen as an auteur with nuance in telling stories of people from all backgrounds.
Her documentary “Bama Rush,” a Max Original, received critical praise from across the mediasphere and is currently the #1 documentary launch in Max's history. Rachel’s first documentary feature is the acclaimed “Introducing, Selma Blair,” which premiered at the SXSW Film Festival and is currently streaming on Max as well. Rachel’s short documentary “Ava & Bianca,” about two transgender cinematographers, received the first Women’s Fund Grant from Made in NY/Mayor’s Office for Film & Television. Commercially, Rachel directed many campaigns for brands like Cadillac, Bumble, UBS, Veuve Clicquot, StyleLikeU, Eileen Fisher, Kode with Klossy, and luxury womenswear brand Honor during her time at the company as their Chief Creative Officer.
